The focus group meetings took place from January 15th to 19th in the Jujuy Province. The purpose of these meetings was the participatory design of the SMS messages that women will receive after HPV self-collection offered by community health workers.

Six focus groups were organized with the participation of 48 women between the ages of 30 and 68 that had already had a self-collection (SC) test in the public health system.

In each group, women exchanged opinions and experiences regarding the use of the mobile phone in daily life, their communication with different professionals of the health system, and their experiences on self-collection. Focus groups also explored their view son the ease or difficulties of a Pap smear.

These meetings were characterized by their diversity and richness, with active involvement of women, who made important suggestions and proposals to improve the communication process between them and the health team.
