The first ATICA Study investigator meeting took place at CEDES headquarters.
Discussion and exchange focused on planning the next activities and defining the core aspects of field work. The study team highlighted the high level of commitment of provincial authorities, and the priority given to involvement of CHWs with field work by Primary Health Care Direction.
In addition, during the meeting junior investigators had the opportunity to present the work they are doing as part of their training. This exchange with senior investigators was very fruitful and allowed them to discuss future collaborative training opportunities.
On that day, the ATICA Study was presented to authorities and members of the National Cancer Institute. Presentations were made on the role of information and communication technologies in the reduction of health inequalities (Dr. Vish Viswanath), the ATICA Study research protocol (Dr. Silvina Arrossi), the participatory design of SMS messages (Dr. Victoria Sánchez Antelo), and the design of the automated messaging system (Eng. Leonardo Ghigliani and Leonardo Valdes).
